Hey everyone ! Just curious to see if anyone is getting sleeved in or around February 2016. Although I don't have an exact date yet, I'm expected to get sleeved around mid February.

Hello I get sleeved February 24, 2016 ????

Feb or March for me. Is anyone having second thoughts that you should just do this on your own, I am struggling with that thought.

Not even for a second! I just turned 39... in my teens I weighed 200 - 220 lbs. In my 20's (except for 2 years when I went to 180 lbs) I weighed 220 - 240 lbs. In my 30's I weigh 230 - 260 lbs. Despite dieting. Despite exercise. Despite Portion Control. I don't plan on weighing 260 - 300 lbs in my 40's or 50's. I want this surgery tomorrow!

Same here. Granted I've just hit the 200's since 2011. I feel exactly the same. I'm so glad I've scheduled and I'm so glad it's about to happen. I'm prepared. I'm equipped with the right tools and support system for success. This week needs to hurry up!!!!

Fun fact: this is my last Sunday with this much actual food in me for a long time. :) I'm 100% liquids tomorrow - and next Sunday I have to be on Clear Liquids all day before my surgery!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
