Hola everyone. I am 2weeks 1day post op. I started looks yesterday & I had one soft scrambled eggs today. I made it w/ milk & nice & fluffy. But I noticed that they are uncomfortable going down. Is this always going to be the case? Is there something else I can add besides milk to help it go down?

I've been very fortunate. I've not had any issues with any food. I am just over 4 weeks post op.

Have you tried it cooked a different way? I like mine over easy. They are such a good source of Protein I hope you can figure it out. Good luck!

Take teeny tiny bites & chew it 45 time & it will go down easier. A bit ridiculous I know, but my surgeon says my bites are to be as tiny as my pinky nail.

I have a problem with scrambled eggs as they sit in my stomach like a brick. I don't have trouble with egg salad or deviled eggs. Go figure.

I had trouble with eggs at first. It takes a little bit of time. Now they are a go-to for me.

i didn't think I could chew eggs 32x but apparently you can lol. I chewed & chewed & chewed but nothing. I'll try 45x next time thank you!

It is ridiculous having to chew so many times when your bites are already teeny tiny bean size bites. I add a little cheese to my eggs also & that seems to help me get them down. However, I can eat something one day and I will be fine & eat the same thing the next day & throw it all up... I have decided my sick moments are more when I do not take my time eating the bean/pinky nail size bites & chewing it to saw dust. Try try & try again...

I'm 2 weeks post op as well. You can add cheese and milk but try to make the egg soft as possible. Whether you scramble it or not, take small bites and chew constantly. I also had a "soft egg" a few days ago with cheese and when I took bite without chewing it constantly, it felt like it was stuck in my chest. So now, I take a small bite and chew it as much as possible before swallowing it. I hope this helps.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
