Angie W 0 Posted December 14, 2015 Hi. My name is Angie and and I had my Sleeve with the Nicholson Clinic in Dallas. So far I'm a slow loser. Only down 12 pounds. However I see a lot of changes in inches. I go back to work tomorrow and I'm nervous nobody will be able to see a difference. I was very open about my Journey to people. Everyone has been really supportive. We'll I hope I have more to report within a few weeks. I'm going to see doctor for a follow up tomorrow. Hopefully they take me off full liquids and move me to the next phase.
jane13 2,256 Posted December 14, 2015 @@Angie W - stay on the track the doctor/Nut has given you pre-op. Make sure you list every question you have to ask tomorrow. Don't forget to get the required Water & Protein in as well everyday. Watch the calories/sugars... You "got this"
sarahk79 1 Posted December 14, 2015 Hey what a coincidence i had my surgery the same day but in a different part of the world so far I've lost 16 pounds.. I had my post op appointment today where my doc told me that my weight loss is going to be comparatively slower as I have thyroid and PCOs. Lil disappointed to hear this but I won't give up .. These last two weeks have been tough but as they say no pain no gain...don't worry about people noticing your weight loss or not..its you who should be happy and satisfied with your results and if you are nothing like it ... Good Luck
Angie W 0 Posted December 14, 2015 Hey ! I have PCOS too. So maybe that is why. We can be eachothers mentors! I had my follow up today too. That's funny. Doctor told me to drink more Protein and walk more.
nurse43cat 10 Posted December 15, 2015 I also had my surgery on the 30th. I had to stay an extra day due to the vomiting and nausea. It was not a pleasant experience by any means. I managed to do alright and get home. I seen the surgeon yesterday and am down 20 pounds since the surgery. I have progressed to the puréed diet. I tried the eggs today. That was a big no go for me. I was sicker than a dog. Yuck . So back to the drawing board with the liquids again. One thing I will say I am having a hard time finding Greek yogurt that is artificially sweetened, blended, no fruit pieces and contain less than 20 grams of carbs in it. Any suggestions at all? The Premier Protein shakes at Walmart I nearly died at the price of them. I bought the whey Protein but that stuff is nasty as can be . I can only eat canned meat, yogurt, mozzarella, Swiss, baby food, refried Beans, all low fat n no sugar. Still take in 64 ounces of Water a day. They just added the Multivitamins n B12 last week. This week they added vit c n d and b complex. I still have to venture out and obtain these . I find myself extremely fatigued so I rest when I can, considering I am older than majority of you all. Lol Hope this helps Cathy

sarahk79 1 Posted December 16, 2015 Yes Angie we sure can support each other through our weight loss journey ...btway a friend who has PCOs too got the surgery done way before me told me that her cycle has improved amazingly and the doc has now suggested her to slowly cut down on metformin / glucophage So I guess we both are on the right track
