tera1982 194 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) Hello fellow sleevers. I am newly sleeved(12/08/15) and am on puréed stage. I've tolerated cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and tuna with 1tbps. Fat free miracle whip well. I've tried scrambled eggs, turkey, and cod(in the hospital), which went just okay. chicken with 1 tbsp. Fat free gravy didn't sit well. I felt sooo sick, like a big old rock sitting in my stomach....not gonna try that again for a while! I almost feel like the colder puréeds worked better with my new/still healing tummy. So my question for you that have been through this already is what did you eat on your puréed stage? What worked? What didn't? liannatx 897 Posted December 13, 2015 I didn't get pureed until week 3! I enjoyed chicken salad, tuna salad, scrambled egg, cottage cheese, yogurt, refried Beans with cheese, tilapia, and thicker pureed Soups.

cricket82 25 Posted December 14, 2015 Lucky you @@tera1982 I had surgery on 12/11 and I have to be on liquids for 2 more weeks before I get to pureed foods.
tera1982 194 Posted December 14, 2015 I am not yet able to get all of my Water in, though I'm only about 10 ounces shy. Protein goals are another story. I am only between 35-50 grams a day(goal is 60-100). I am following the timeline in my packet(no drinking 30 before, during, and 30 after meals and taking 30-45 minutes to eat) and am finding it extremely difficult to eat that much(literally only 2 ounces) without it feeling like I'm going to explode. ezbeinggreen 50 Posted December 14, 2015 my surgery was 12/7 and my surgeon's plan also moves right to pureed/soft "stage 3" diet once home too. I am taking it easy and sticking with mostly "full" liquids like Protein drinks and pureed Soups like lentil, Tomato, split pea, nothing with noodles or rice, mostly "cream of" styles (homemade or even Progresso has a bunch of good ones - my fav right now is creamy chicken enchilada). But tonight I pureed some rotisserie chicken in a small food processor until it was literally the texture of breadcrumbs and then mixed it with some gravy into a paste. Had a large spoonful of the chicken mixture with a large spoonful of mashed butternut squash as well (the two actually tasted really good together) - maybe about 1 oz of each. It was so yummy I can't wait to have it again tomorrow! I am also eating no sugar added popsicles, fudgesicles, and made my own pops today with leftover homemade Protein drink/smoothie. Also eating greek yogurt, cottage cheese, homemade Decaf iced tea - everything gets some unflavored Musclegen Pro unflavored Protein powder mixed into it. Oh and Miralax, lol. ezbeinggreen 50 Posted December 14, 2015 I have avocados ripening on my counter now plan to try refried Beans with salsa, sour cream, avocado, etc. next week. I also plan to puree a few pieces of cooked shrimp and mix with mashed avocado and lime. You could also puree chili and top with the same kind of stuff. Have you tried ricotta cheese? Just google "ricotta bake WLS" for a recipe but basically you can put a scoop of ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella and some marina sauce in the micro or in a casserole dish and bake it for a noodle-less lasagna type of dish. I plan on trying a recipe for buffalo chicken casserole soon - just taking out any noodles or grains and using ground turkey. I guess then it is more of a dip? You could turn just about anything into a pureed food. There are lot of idea on pinterest.

rs12-1-15 1 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) I had my sleeve done on 12-1 and am on puréed too. Found same thing with chicken and gravy, even an ounce, feeling like lead. Grilled salmon, which the rest of my family ate too, was great. Made an avocado mash w light mayo to help it slide down. Also highly recommend the cookbook - Eating well after weight loss surgery by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo. My nutritionist had me get it months ago and start trying some recipes. Has week 1-3 and then beyond, sleeve bypass Etc specific measurements. Amazon prime it today Edited December 14, 2015 by rs12-1-
