Nope. I am over 2 years out now, but I never had any issues. For the first 6-8 weeks after sugery I believe they generally suggest you avoid taking larger pills, but I would discuss that with your doctor.

I did have some problems for a few months after surgery. I either used chewables or crushed everything and mixed it with hot sauce (Tabasco) to cover the taste.

I am still on chewable Vitamins but my other tablets re quite small and have never been an issue. I stuck to the suggested 3 months of not taking tablets, rather liquids or ones that melt in the mouth.

The only one I had trouble with was the Bariatric AE Multi-Vitamin which would choke a horse. I cut them in fours and tried to mash it up in cinnamon applesauce, but the bitter taste made me puke. So, I ended up switching to a Walgreen's Women's Over 50 multi and take two instead of one. Some folks have even taken Flintstones chewables until they got past this hurdle.

No. I've been taking my supplements and medications in capsule and tablet form since 2 weeks postop with no problems.
