I have been on yo-yo diets, last was hcg, wt goes down then up, up, up. Now on blood pressure meds, statins. Considering gastric sleeve in Mexico. Anyone been there w a bmi of 30? Suggestions? Comments?

I have a BMI of 29 and have surgery scheduled with Dr. Ponce in Mexico on January 11th. When I started looking into this about six months ago my BMI was 28. My weight just keeps creeping higher and higher. I realize I'm not extremely obese, but I have family history of obesity, my grandpa had diabetes, grandma and dad have high blood pressure, my mom has high choloesterol, and so do I now. I am 28 years old and want to enjoy the rest of my life. I am not expecting to get down to 110lbs and be a size zero, I just want to stop yo yo dieting and quit having my weight determine my mood.
