Jodi_PA 14 Posted December 11, 2015 I had my endoscopy done this morning. It was my last pre-op test needed before going through the insurance process. During my endoscopy, three ulcers were found and diagnosed me with Barrett's Esophagus. (never had a single symptom) I am being placed on Dexilant and have to have a repeat endoscopy on February 12th. Does anyone know if this will stop me from getting my January surgery date? Thanks in advance...
tmcx28 297 Posted December 11, 2015 I was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus after my endoscopy and I also had no symptoms beforehand. I had no clue that I had acid reflux! The gastro Doctor just put me on Prilosec and it didn't effect my surgery at all. I didn't have ulcers though, I'm sure someone will get back to you about it soon!
