@lici@ 22 Posted December 10, 2015 So I was sleeved on the 17th of Nov. I lost weight the first two weeks but this week I've actually gained back 2 pounds. Now it may not seem alot but it has me super worried. Any one have any advice?
Mania 128 Posted December 10, 2015 Can you provide more information. What stage of food are you on? Has your food stage changed recently? Are you getting enough Protein and fluids? Are you tracking your food intake? What was your starting BMI?
HopeandAgony 566 Posted December 10, 2015 (edited) I had the sleeve on Nov 16th and have had mini stalls twice already. Once after the first week for 4 days, and once this week. The first one I had a 2 lb gain. This time I've been at the same weight for 5 days. I'm totally not sweating it. Is it annoying? For sure. But I know there is no feasible way that I've gained, nor is there no way in mathematical terms that I'm not losing. I'm burning way more calories than I am consuming. It happens. Don't sweat it. Your body just needs to catch up. Edited December 10, 2015 by HopeandAgony
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 10, 2015 It's not unusual to experience a weight gain. Unfortunately for most of us weight loss is not a linear process. There will be stalls, slow periods and even gains As long as you are meeting Protein and Fluid goals, stay the course. The weight loss will happen.
@lici@ 22 Posted December 10, 2015 I'm in my transitional stage and it recently changed on tuesday. I have been trying to track my Protein and food intake. My BMI was 39. I am so thankful for your words of wisdom and feel better. Thank you.
Babbs 14,681 Posted December 10, 2015 It's nothing you're doing, so don't worry. Just normal fluctuations. I've had a 1-2 pound fluctuation since my surgery 16 months ago. It's hormones, Water, who knows what else.I would also gain a pound when I would stall, then subsequently lose it when the stall ended. As early out as you are, it's not physically possible for you to eat enough to gain 2 pounds. Now me? I KNOW when it's just a normal fluctuation and when it's me just being piggy
