NSV...Kind of embarrassing but what the heck!

Recommended Posts

I thought of putting this in the powder Room...but I really have no shame! LOL

This morning I started my daily ritual of chaos that the beginning of each day always consists of. I'm wearing a pj top and a robe. My daughter is upstairs getting ready for school, and my husband is on the couch eating Breakfast and drinking his morning tea. I'm walking in the hallway downstairs and my panties decide to take it upon themselves to slide all the way down to my knees, just from me walking and gravity. I'm like..."REALLY?!" My husband comes running, wondering what happened. Then he sees me then thinks that I'm ready for him to get frisky...not really remembering that I am NOT a morning person. So I'm standing there not knowing whether to laugh or cry or both. I guess I'll be shopping this weekend for new ones that fit properly...or start wearing the bottoms to my pjs from now on...or perhaps, with my husbands suggestion, become a "morning person." Too funny not to share....

Week 4 post op, I am outside in my driveway cleaning the interior of my car and I stand up to get out of the car and my pants just fall right down. Belt and all. It was pretty funny and I am glad not many people were outside. These are always funny stories, good for you for taking it in stride.

I am guessing that is how you got your daughter.......walking around the house with your clothes off!

Way to squander perfect opportunity for a quickie.

Great story! Yes, go buy yourself some new undies this weekend. Make sure to get a couple of sexy pairs to make hubby happy ;)

Awesome story, congrats.. my old underware (don't ask) had to go the elastic was not hold on to me well.. my more recent undies however the elastic is holding but its much loose in the thigh area..but sooon soon I say i will have to get new undies.. I have pj's with no strings that use to stay up because of the girth around my belly..now they slip and once fell.. so its time for new pj's in a few weeks..

my jeans are starting to look baggy, so thats also my next purchase, my dress pants for work are holding stead, but i purchased them a touch smaller a few years back...

Again funny story and good one to share, thank you.

Too funny! I like your hubby. Oh, man. I can at least take in my bras for a little while. I completely forgot about undies! (Already determined to invest in a belt.)

I lost my pants last week at the gym.. too bad I could not tell - had to have someone say... you know we can see your underwear.... normal for young boys, but for middle aged women....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
