Liz1531 3 Posted July 23, 2007 Can a milk shake count as part of a liquid diet?
faithmd 14 Posted July 23, 2007 Well, not a clear liquid diet, but yes. Though with all the calories and fat in a milkshake, why include it anyway? Unless you are referring to making a nice yummy homemade one with low fat, low sugar ingredients. In that case, I think it would be a good addition to the liquid diet. Liz1531 3 Posted July 23, 2007 I was just wondering not because of the lap band... but because I'm having a prodedure tomorrow in which I was told to fast for a day and have only liquids (just nothing red). I have NEVER in my life fasted so I was sooo hungry today I had two milkshakes. I hope this doesn't mess up my test!

As long as they didn't say to have only Clear Liquids, you should be just fine. :nervous
janie3867 0 Posted July 23, 2007 Faith MD - when were you banded? June of 2006 or 2007? I am just trying to get an idea of how much people lose (average) in a month after banding.
