dlh16 22 Posted December 9, 2015 I'm sitting here at this very moment planning my eight day preop and tears are flowing. I'm going through so many different emotions . Is this normal ? I have 10 days to go before my surgery . I'm happy, sad, excited, depressed, crying, smiling..it's like every damn hour is a different feeling. I guess after months and months of planning, when it gets right down to it I can't believe this is really happening..
goblue9280 481 Posted December 9, 2015 Absolutely! I was a complete a$$.hole leading up to my surgery. Morning of surgery I was an emotional wreck. Being wheeled down to the operating room and then having my wife turning to go to the waiting room was the worst. I was laying on the table before receiving anesthesia contemplating whether to halt the surgery because I was so scared. However, over 2 months out and I have zero regrets. I'm feeling the best I have in a decade or more... both physically and mentally. All I can say is do your best to work through the emotional rollercoaster, as the pay off is worth it in the end! Cervidae 2,389 Posted December 9, 2015 It's completely normal to be all over the place emotionally. This is a huge change you're going through and there are even bigger changes coming soon. I'd be worried if you didn't care. But you can do it, and you won't regret it when all is said and done. Good luck!
