wincha 18 Posted December 9, 2015 I've read that some people get shoulder pain when they eat too much. But I've started HS ing left shoulder pain twice when I was hungry. Not sure why I'm getting this shoulder pain
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted December 11, 2015 Never heard of that before. If you ask your doc and learn why, let us know.

WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted December 14, 2015 Left-shoulder pain after overeating or eating too quickly, etc., often is gas.
jrock52 0 Posted December 14, 2015 This pain was terrible. I thought I was having a heart attack. Nausea / dry heaves. Elevated blood pressure 210/
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted December 14, 2015 People experiencing left-shoulder gas pain often think heart attack because of the pain being on the left side. I have no guess about nausea and dry heaves. Blood pressure changes on a dime and it's not uncommon for it elevate when we're upset. That said, I'm no physician. There are times that I think "heart" when I have left-shoulder pain. You're concerned enough that a call to your surgery practice might be a good thing just to put your mind at ease. Peace of mind goes a long way, especially since you seem to be newly banded.
jrock52 0 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) I have had the band for 2 years. Never anything like this. I have an appt. with PCP TOMORROW.THANKS for your feedback Edited December 14, 2015 by jrock52
familyman 4 Posted December 25, 2015 I have had this. Its as soon as Ive eaten too much. It has the delightful feeling like my stomach is choking. It's a blockage at the band and have been told it has to do with your stomach tightening. You'll be OK. Watching for the symptoms of being full.
jrock52 0 Posted December 25, 2015 Thank you. Exactly what I thought.
wincha 18 Posted December 26, 2015 It wasnt related to eating too much as it happened before I needed to eat. I think it had to do with the position I was in. But happened when sitting and lying on my side. Hasn't happened again. Lily http://lapbandontherun.blogspot.com/
lisacaron 5,075 Posted December 28, 2015 @@wincha looks like you just had surgery? If that's the case it could be residual gas pains from surgery. If that is the case moving can and will definitely help things.
