dede0314 356 Posted December 8, 2015 So this Thursday I will be 7 weeks post op. I was previously on the Nuvaring, My gyno suggested I take it out before the surgery and start back using it after surgery. So my dilemma is should I get back on it. My concern is that it will interfere with my weight loss and I definitely don't want that. Has anyone gotten on the Nuvaring after surgery? How did it effect your weight loss. TXMissy 211 Posted December 11, 2015 I just had my mirena removed yesterday because of so many complications. My doctor put me on the nuvaring and I was wondering the same thing.
meganliz0824 65 Posted December 11, 2015 I had no issues with nuvaring before surgery but had to stop it 1 month before and for 6 weeks after surgery to prevent blood clots. I start it again in 2 weeks. My doctor said as long as I didn't have any issues before I shouldn't have any issues now.
