Tssiemer1 549 Posted December 5, 2015 I'm at the DMV renewing my expired drivers license. After surgery did you guys change your drivers license?
The Candidate 3,215 Posted December 5, 2015 Mine doesn't expire until 2018. By then I figure I'll be at the weight I want to be and will have been maintaining for a little over a year (had surgery on 07/29/15). So I think I'll wait until then. It'll be a milestone I can look forward to achieving. Plus the novelty of actually giving my correct weight. ????
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted December 5, 2015 I changed my about a year out. I bore no resemblance to my previous photo.
grandmaofone 411 Posted December 5, 2015 I am not going to update mine until it is time. I don't look nothing like the picture, but I do weigh about what my licenses says now????????????????
fat_free 463 Posted December 5, 2015 The funny thing is that the weight I have on my drivers license is actually closer to my current weight but the picture of me is 95lbs heavier....how will I explain that one on renewal.....ummm. 'Bout the weight part...must have been a "typo" ?!?

grandmaofone 411 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) I am laughing that I just commented on this a few days ago and last night the lady at the bank asked me for my license. First off my picture that is on mine license was taken after I was in a car accident and was still recovering from breaking almost every bone on my right side. I was still very much swollen as well as being heavy. I covered some bruising around my nose with makeup. I swelled probably about 10-15 lbs on top of the 265 I was(now 188). Now on with the story, she asked to see my license, she looked at it and me a few times. After she paused I told her I recently lost a huge amount of weight. She checked my signature a few times and it matched so she did the transaction. I didn't think that I looked so different until this. Maybe it is time to drop the extra $20 and get a picture taken?!?!? Still laughing and debating! Edited December 8, 2015 by grandmaofone
MIMISAN 404 Posted December 8, 2015 I just had to renew my license due to a change of address and I was telling my husband how much I hated the picture (because it looks like me). I then told him that it would be a good test for after surgery because I will be able to see the change.

higher 966 Posted December 8, 2015 My license was taken when I was 21 - 9 years ago. And I weighed almost 100 lbs less. So I have the opposite problem!
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted December 10, 2015 Definitely got a new driver's license. TSA suggested I do so.
livvsmum 2,369 Posted December 10, 2015 I wasn't planning to, in fact in never crossed my mind. But I went to the bank to make a withdraw and they ask for my license and they had to call the manager out because they didn't think it was me. LOL. Kind of a good problem to have. We were getting ready to fly around the same time and I figured if the bank gave me problems there was always a chance the airport would give me problems too. So I paid the small fee (I think it was around 20 or 30) to get a new picture taken for my license.
Daisee68 2,493 Posted December 10, 2015 I haven't yet but I am going to have to. t 100 pounds down I get a lot of strange looks when they look at my license and wonder if it is really me. Same with passport.
