Butternut squash soup...how bad is it for us?

Recommended Posts

I've had it. I don't think it's necessarily *bad* for us, but there's not much (if any) Protein in it. When that's pretty much all you can handle for a meal, it's probably not the best choice.

It is not BAD for us. I have a suggestion though for some amazing creamed Soup, "Roasted vegetable soup". I roast cauliflower, onion, red peppers, zucchini and a little squash. When done, really soft, put in your blender or vitamix with chicken or vegetable broth; it is absolutely delicious and not as high in carbs as just butternut squash soup.

The only thing I would watch is if there is a lot of added sugar. Premade ones can be high. If you are making it yourself then you can control it. You could add milk or something to up the Protein a bit.
