Torani vs extracts

Recommended Posts

Is anyone using extracts instead of Torani to mix up their shakes? I'm wondering if a few drop of almond added to chocolate would be good. Or better yet, root beer extract added to vanilla with a little ice and whipped up in the blender.

I use the Torani sugar free flavorings all the time. I use it for Protein drinks as well as my coffee and yogurt. I buy the plain greek yogurt and add a splash of Torani. Freeze that mixture and you basically have ice cream.

Oh, my favorites are the salted caramel and coffee liqueur.

Good advice on Torani, thanks. Will try it.

I personally cannot drink the SF Torani. It has a bad after taste that I couldn't get past.

I also cant eat Kale either or the SF popsicles everyone seems to be able to eat post-op.

I have added vanilla to FF greek yogurt and have added the powdered PB to yogurt as well. YUM

back when I was doing a lot of shakes, I added orange extract to vanilla shakes and mint extract to chocolate shakes. Loved them both. Especially when I mixed them in the blender with some ice. Add just a drop or two at a time, though, and then taste it before adding more. Extracts can be really strong. The first time I added mint extract to my chocolate shake, I added way too much - it tasted like strong toothpaste. Ugh!

In a round-about way, Yes! I don't really buy the Torani.< /p>

I like the Folgers Vanilla drops for my coffee, so it is always on hand. It makes any Protein drink a little more flavorful too. I have been known to add a squirt of strawberry Kiwi MIO (or whatever flavor I have around) and pack of Stevia to my cottage cheese. I found some Dasani (bottle Water brand) drops in pineapple Coconut and add them to a Vanilla Protein Drink, also yummy when added to my Water : ) Decaf instant coffee is also good if you use a Vanilla Protein powder.

Another good and easy one, for when you are on liquids... add a little taco seasoning to chicken broth! Tastes like the broth from chicken tortilla soup!

Added about 2 drops of Watkins Rootbeer Concentrate that I found at Walmart to my Premier Vanilla Protein shake and 1/2 T of half and half. Absolutely delicious!

I have yet to use the Torani syrups as my wallet says other things are more important. :)

I use the extracts frequently. I have used mint, almond, and vanilla. There are lots of recipes out there that use the extracts. I have "pinned" a lot of them on Pinterest.

We were thinking about adding Torani to the BP Store. Where do you buy your Torani and how much do you normally pay?

It's at my local Festival Foods for $4.99. Not sure how many ounces though.
