Ok I am a little jealous.....how do you get those cute little bars on the bottom of your pages to reflect your success?:help:

I just did mine at Trying To Conceive Ticker and they have it all setup its dummy proof. Just choose weight loss (or whatever you want on there) and it gives you a code that you copy and paste into your signature and there ya go....:whoo:

I am starting the liquid for 2 weeks - I just finished the Optifast and I hated it to begin with but grew to really like it - I mixed dry sugar free Jello to the liquid vanilla drink and threw in some ice cubes and blended them in my Magic Bullet. Great tasting. Also loved the Soup. I mixed it with different spices for a great way to change the taste. I am having potato soup and jello for supper.

Anyone have any recipes they would like to share for this liquid stage.

I was banded 7/18 and will be on liquids for two weeks. Here I am on day three and I keep looking at the calendar just wanting to get on with it. Nothing liquid tastes good to me. I,ve made 3 different cream Soups and have thrown them all out. So I keep telling myself "stop being such a whiner" this to shall pass.

how didu create the cool graph? my diet got better when i added pudding and yogurt. check with ur doc first. mine was dr montgomery from northwest surgery center seattle wa.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
