omerbasa2807 12 Posted December 12, 2015 I haven't had any issues. My surgeon recommended me to start the Iron at the 2.5- 3 weeks mark.
Jessica _ Stephens 12 Posted December 12, 2015 So you haven't had to take all the Vitamins?
omerbasa2807 12 Posted December 13, 2015 Yes, I am taking all the Vitamins. I'm taking Bariatric Advantage for now.
LetItGo 73 Posted December 13, 2015 The Bariatric Advantage Vitamins made me vomit immediately. I have ordered Vitamin Patches.
Jessica _ Stephens 12 Posted December 13, 2015 When did everyone start taking the Vitamins? I didn't like the Bariatric Vitamins either so I bought all my vitamins separately
omerbasa2807 12 Posted December 13, 2015 I started taking a Multivitamin 3-4 months prior to surgery and stop taking them a week before surgery. The Bariatric Advantage I started like a week after surgery.
Yaberhoo 358 Posted December 13, 2015 The Bariatric Advantage Vitamins made me vomit immediately. I have ordered Vitamin Patches. If those Vitamins contained Iron, that is probably the reason why. It is common that Iron in the tablets makes people vomit. I had the same reaction from a chewable Vitamin for bariatric patients. The only time I've vomited since surgery. omerbasa2807 12 Posted December 13, 2015 Thats the reason my surgeon told me to start the Iron at week #3 because it tends to be kind of heavy for the new stomach and you may vomit. As far as I know the Bariatric Advantage the iron is separate, there is another company that everything comes in one chewable tablet if I'm not mistaken it's called Bariatric Fusion. annam1130 40 Posted December 16, 2015 I received and started mine yesterday. I'm not having any issues with the Iron. I've literally gotten sick from the multivitamin. Last night it passed without coming up and I took a Zofran once I settled enough to tolerate the Zofran tablet in my mouth. Tonight the first multivitamin can't back up despite the Zofran. I broke the second one into 3 pieces and got it dissolved and down without any further problems. I really don't want to have to take Zofran every day. I've only taken 3 before yesteryear and surgery was 11/30/15.
MIMISAN 404 Posted December 22, 2015 The Bariatric Advantage Vitamins made me vomit immediately. I have ordered Vitamin Patches. I have been using the multi Vitamin patch for about 2 months in anticipation of surgery. I will be having lab work done on the 8th of Jan and I am anxious to see what my results will be. rking 484 Posted December 22, 2015 I take the bariatric Vitamins, from mail. I had to wait until week 4 to start the Iron chewable. I started Calcium and the multi a month before surgery. I have had absolutely no issue with them. I like them really well. I have not had any issue at all with any food or drink at all, though. My doc did say to wait a couple of hours between the Calcium and Iron pill. Are you taking them at the same time?
emtmom2008 1 Posted January 1, 2016 I can take all that I'm supposed to but am really bad and forget. I asked about the Patches and they told me not to do them. Not really sure what to do?
