Any December Sleever's?

Recommended Posts

I have created a secret Facebook group called December 2015 Sleevers. I will post the link below (hopefully that will work). If not, I believe the group is searchable as typed above, or I can invite people by e-mail address also :)

This link isn't working for me but I'd love to be added. My email is bilijeanmdsn@gmail.com

I'm done! Not even painful at all, just feels like heartburn. Nil by mouth until tomorrow, which is fine by me! Many have talked about the dry mouth, it's definitely an issue. I got a dry mouth pocket spray from CVS and I'm so glad of it. Just make sure you get the proper dry mouth spray rather than the regular breath spray.

I have changed the group to private for now so that it is searchable (December 2015 Sleevers). All posts will still be private. I also added those who gave me their e-mail addresses. Hopefully this helps!

They will give you mouth swabs if you ask, it's not awful, just dry! They also let me swish Water around my mouth when I went to the bathroom, just make sure you don't swallow! They said it's mostly due to my painkiller, the on-demand one, can't remember the name. It made me nauseous and sleepy too, so I'm not going to have any more unless I have pain beyond the heartburn.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
