brandy25 7 Posted December 2, 2015 I just got word today that my insurance company approved my surgery! I guess my insurance company is notorious for denying so I'm super relived. Now I am waiting to hear from scheduling to find out when I will finally be going under the knife. It's been a long road getting here and I know there's more to come but I'm happy that I'm now closer to my goal. Now I need to prepare for the special pre-surgery diet. My doc requires a high Protein, low carb diet two weeks before had and liquid diet three days prior to surgery. Anyone have any advice about how I should prepare? Thank you! gwiggles 8 Posted December 3, 2015 I can't give you any advice, because I'm just starting, but I wanted to say...CONGRATULATIONS!
dlh16 22 Posted December 3, 2015 Congrats Brandy25.. I wish I could give advice also but I have a thread going now because some surgeons don't require a preop diet. I know my nutritionist had advised I get use to Protein Drinks, Water, broth, and such but never a strict diet . maybe I'm speaking to soon. I have preop appt on the 7th for surgery on 18th and maybe I'll be told about the diet then. Its like my brain has a bajillion things going on since I scheduled my date.. Ugh !!
