o00 494 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) I'm on vacation for a week in foreign land. I have been able to maintain my Protein and daily Fluid intake. But not having a scale to jump on every morning is making me nervous. I have two Protein shakes daily, one as soon as I wake up and one in the late afternoon. It's freezing up here so I'm drinking a lot of herbal tea without any sweetner and my hosts are pretty healthy folks who make me a veggie and apple juice every morning. As far as my diet goes I'm following everything I am supposed to a T. I hope when I return home to my scale, I will not be disappointed when I step on it. jane13 2,256 Posted December 1, 2015 @@dusky goddess - you (we) all need to learn how to be flexible, sounds like you have it under control. This journey will have bumps in the road that we have to work around...like a vacation in a foreign land.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted December 1, 2015 Wow, what a fabulous opportunity. Who cares what the scale says every day? Weighing every day gives you no valuable or actionable information in my opinion. You are just capturing the small, normal fluctuations in Fluid retention anyway. I normally don't weigh more than once a week (or less often). Plus, changes in elevation, location, different scales, are going to give you different readings anyway. It sounds like you are following your plan, so relax and enjoy your vacation! The scale will be there when you get home.
o00 494 Posted December 6, 2015 Update: pounds and inches lost on vacation. I don't recall ever experiencing that. Here I was dreading the scale.
