thenewandbestme 81 Posted November 30, 2015 Oh yes! Me too! Because before the surgery, It was barely enough to eat 3 large scrambled eggs, 2-3 sausage patties or links and grits, sometimes even 2 packs of instant for my Breakfast, so yes, I do see what you mean more than you know. Sophie74656 1,572 Posted December 1, 2015 congrats on the loss. it's an interesting thing isn't it. I'm glad I can't eat much and have lost weight but sometimes it's dissapointing to be full after only a few bites. I made a slow cooker pulled pork for dinner tonight and it tasted so amazing that I was actually kind of sad that I could only eat three bites of it
palmerone 2 Posted December 1, 2015 I went out for lunch for the first time with friends this weekend. I thought it would be hard to see them ordering yummy food as I'm only just two weeks post surgery. I ordered Tomato bisque Soup. I thought I'd finish the soup, but after two tablespoons I was full. Such a strange feeling. I forced myself to go out as I don't want my social life to suffer just because I can't eat like everyone else. I'm so glad I did, I had a great time with my friends and didn't feel disappointed not eating the same as that. Good luck everyone, love seeing positive messages . SassyNanny 311 Posted December 1, 2015 You are braver than I am. I'm 12 days out and have season tix to theater Wednesday night with friends. We always go to dinner before the show. I just can't imagine being in that situation quite yet. Not even sure where they are picking to go to dinner or if there is anything liquid in the menu I could have. I suppose any place with Soup I could have the chef blend it for me. Never had to ask for that before. I'm going to meet them at the theater. I'm glad you were able to enjoy your friends at dinner! mrrugby 2 Posted December 3, 2015 Yeah I am 16 days post op and tried purée this afternoon. I had some purée chicken breast with some siracchi for flavor. I managed about the equivalent of 2 table spoons of food and I was stuffed. In fact I felt full for about 5 hrs afterwards...

Ate 1 1/2 tbsp (maybe) so full after for hours. I never thought I would have to force food in!!

That's why today, I'm starting with my Protein shakes and Water. And then later this evening if I get hungry I will attempt a meal. Because my nutritionist said it's more important to get fluids in than food at this point. So that's what I'm going to concentrate on today and see how it goes.
