How much do you eat at a meal at 2 months, 3 months

Recommended Posts

@@LoseItKacy Sounds like a good plan & what a lot of people are on except the 1/4 of cup after 2 months seems limited but our plans are all different. I think mine allowing me a cup at 3 months is way too much!! I'm staying at 2/3 cup for at least 6 months 3x a day. If my blood work shows different I will change. Oh I do have 1 snack a day of lowfat string cheese 50 cal. & 7 grams of Protein after I walk. I'm also staying away from carbs & all sugar.

Saw my Nut and surgeon yesterday. Both are thrilled with my progress. I am 4 weeks post rny.

I was cleared for all foods. I am to have 6 meals/ Snacks per day. Never to exceed 1/2 cup of either, FOREVER! NUT told me to work up to 1000 calories per day as my body will tolerate. I'm currently about 600.

My program was very strict pre op for 6 months. Not because of ins. Requirements, but because that's how the surgeon does it. He wants the head habits changed as much as possible before the rny . So far, so good with my food tolerance. Now if I could only poop, I'd be golden!!!LOL

Wow 1/2 cup forever! well it adds up over a day to about the same when you figure a cup at 3 meals. It sounds like a good plan & makes sense, so even when your hunger returns you will feel up fast!!! I think I better stay at 2/3 cup since I'm already there, & maybe add a meal after I talk with my nut on Jan. 8. That will be at 3 months. I've been adding benefiber to my Water everyday & that is helping me. Thanks for the input you are doing awesome!!!

@@tugs I know, everyone is so different! I'm still at 2/3 cup at a meal with 2 Snacks a day 1 string cheese the other a few nuts chewed really well. I'm at a stall this week, but slacked on the exercise. Will pick it back up after the 1st. You have done really well with your weight loss!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
