amyg80 45 Posted November 29, 2015 Hello all! So on Tues morning, 12/1, I go in for my revision. I'm very nervous and a bit scared. I'm so nervous of failing again, but most of all scared of not waking from the surgery. Not sure why, but I think having a nearly 1yr old now makes things a bit more frightful. Any words of encouragement or success stories are welcomed!
liannatx 897 Posted November 29, 2015 I will send you a prayer on the 1st! I think everyone has a some fear of the anesthesia... even though it is pretty much an irrational fear. Once you get past the first week or two post op, you will not regret this! I am much happier with the sleeve than I ever was with the band. Did you already have the band removed, or are they doing the revision at the same time?
amyg80 45 Posted November 29, 2015 Thank you! I'm getting both done at the same time! Really looking forward to having the band out! I will make this sleeve work...very determined.

Heather Feather 35 Posted November 30, 2015 Don't be nervous! You're in good hands, and this will change your life for the better. I'm so happy for and proud of you! I had mine exactly one month ago, and i am down 46 lbs. My life is so different already, and i am so excited to see what else lies in store for me. You'll be where i am soon, and it's going to be glorious. Take care and keep us posted! Heather
Chazmataz 33 Posted November 30, 2015 I also had a revision on 11/16 from the band to the serve and so far I like it so much better. My biggest fear to date is losing my hair. I'm religious about my Vitamins and making sure I get my Protein in. It's hard because it's hard to eat in that I'm never hungry. But in down about 21lbs and super excited about the future. You'll do great. Wishing all the best of luck.

amyg80 45 Posted December 2, 2015 Thanks everyone! Surgery went well and not in as much pain as I was with my band. Doing pretty good so far. Not hungry either...just thirsty. So excited to be starting my journey. For those who have the sleeve already..do u find it difficult to get ur Protein count in for the day?
BonitaF 30 Posted December 2, 2015 Morning, Amy! So glad you're doing well. My nutritionist said to sip on Protein Shakes to be sure I get mine in. I'm not there yet--surgery is next week, but that's the game plan.
