bhopeful 33 Posted November 29, 2015 So I am 3 weeks out from surgery and have read up enough on this site to realize that I am right in the middle of the dreaded "THREE WEEK STALL"!!!!! I am so thankful for all of you that have written about this because at least I know to expect it and to embrace it :-) But I am curious how long you have all stalled for? Currently I have been the same weight for one week. I hope it breaks soon and my weight starts going down. I know we are all different but I am just curious what the duration of the stalls have been you have experienced.
Babbs 14,681 Posted November 29, 2015 My stalls (yes, there were more than one) lasted anywhere from a week to a month. There isn't much you can do about this first one except ride it out. Sometimes there isn't much you can do about any of them except that. But subsequent stalls may happen for a multitude of reasons that may require some tweaking in your diet and excersise that may help break it a little quicker. It's just trial and error sometimes. Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted November 29, 2015 I don't know that there is a typical duration. Our bodies are so different and constantly changing through this process that there is no really predictable rate of weight loss. You may notice rapid physical changes when the scale isn't moving. Just follow your plan and stay off the scale if it is driving you crazy. http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
