Sajijoma 1,324 Posted November 28, 2015 @@rking I'm perfectly fine now. It was all the pain meds causing me problems. As soon as I got off of them, I was all better.

Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted November 28, 2015 tmcx28, A lot of the time, 1-2 nights are common. It depends on the surgeon and facility, though. I also wonder if your friend had some sort of condition that meant she would need to stay an extra night. Good luck with your surgery! Make sure you don’t overdo it when you get back home – ask for the help you need, even if it means arranging ahead of time for someone to be there to help you “just in case.” You don’t want to overdo things and risk delaying recovery or worse getting a complication! I am sure things will go fine on Tuesday. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
Pelicanlady 122 Posted November 30, 2015 I had gastric sleeve and was in the hospital 1 night. I almost ended up back in the hospital because of dehydration. Please work hard to get as much Fluid in you as you can. Your tastes will probably change after surgery. Prior to surgery I loved room temperature Water, but after surgery it made me sick. I had to have very cold liquids. Protein drinks that I liked before surgery, didn't agree with me after surgery. Now that I am almost 17 months post surgery, everything is back to normal. This surgery was the best thing I ever did for myself. Good luck with you surgery.
