Elliptical Anyone? How long should I wait?

I am a week post op and doing pretty good, except for feeling like I've been 15 rounds with Rocky Balboa punching my belly! It's more of a sore feeling rather than stinging or sickening pain. Anyway, I am walking ok at this point, but was wondering, when would it be appropriate to graduate to the elliptical machine? Any ideas?

Call your doctor and double check. Different doctor's have varying timeline for when patient can return to exercising. It also depends on how your body is healing. Get clearance from your doctor and then take it slow. Listen to your body so your don't injure yourself.

My Surgeon said nothing besides walking for 5 weeks so definitely double check with yours

I was cleared for bike, elliptical, treadmill on my one week post op. I'm taking it very slow but feel great.

My doctor approved walking, bicycle and elliptical early on. Nothing strenuous, no hiking or floor exercises etc.... For 6 weeks.
