jane13 2,256 Posted November 28, 2015 @@Meganfpc - my stomach has quieted a bit but at times it is loud. I am almost 7 months post. Keep hydrated. keep moving...this will seem like a dream in a couple of weeks. I was lucky. I really had no post-op issues. once you can eat pureed food you will feel different. emhegs78 0 Posted November 28, 2015 @"jane13" I'm feeling so much better today! I'm on full liquids and today I tolerated most of what I ate without any spasms or heartburn. The Prilosec definitely took a couple days to kick in I think. I was able to get a lot more fluids in today and go for a walk. Starting to feel better. Lots of head hunger tho lol

FocusOnMeNow 599 Posted November 28, 2015 Congratulations on your new life. My go to drink was Vitamin Water zero rise orange (it's a clear liquid). 3.5 months out it still is. liquid Tylenol worked the best for my pain for the first week. Also I slept and rested a LOT that first week, so other than your short walks please get all the rest that you need and try to take it easy. The first two weeks are hard but this too shall pass. That being said if your pain is out of the ordinary for major abdominal surgery then you should definitely call your doctors office to check in with them. Congratulations again on making a great decision to start a new healthy life!
