ZoeyBear 64 Posted November 24, 2015 I just have to share my news with someone...for the first time in 13 yrs., I am in ONEderland! I began my weight loss surgery journey on April 9, 2015. It was not an easy thing to do, yet I have had so much encouragement from friends and family, it has been surprisingly do-able! At this point, 7+ months out, I have lost 86 lbs. and have gone from a size 26/28W to a 14/16W! My next clothing purchase will be in regular Misses sizes!!! I cannot believe how much better I feel! If anyone is "on the fence" about having surgery, let me encourage you to do this! It's life-changing! Life, for me, gets better everyday! I'm a 56 year old grandmother who can now play on the floor with my 18 month old granddaughter, and run around the house playing chase with her! Before my vertical sleeve gastrectomy, I could barely walk! Thank you, family and friends, for your love and support, thus far. And, thank you, Jesus, for continuing to hold my hand, every step of the way!

jells13 1 Posted November 24, 2015 I'm brand new to this site and about 5-6 months away from a potential surgery. This post is very encouraging as I seem to be a little on the fence. Congrats!
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted November 28, 2015 lost 86 lbs. Life, for me, gets better everyday! @@ZoeyBear onederland that is terrific!! you did it!! it is such a bonus when you have people that support you you are very lucky in that respect one reason many people have WLS is so they can run around playing with their kids grand-kids - chasing them etc continue to enjoy playing with your grand-daughter the #13 can be a bad/scary # for you - 13 years since onderland sounds good to me keep up the good work kathy congrats
