Thank you @@rking

Hello and good luck to you. Today was by 2nd visit to the doctor and I approximately got the date; it might be on 13 January. I'm excited and nervous all at same time. I'm having the sleeve.

January isn't far off!! Good luck to you also and keep me informed how it goes, wishing you the Best!

I have my script for my bloodwork and need to get it done this week since my next apt is next Thursday! I'm running out of time! I met with the cardiologist and had an ekg and they're scheduling me for a stress test and a home sleep study. Hopefully my insurance cooperates. I like the medical team so that helps. Your a little further along than I am if your going in January! Are you super excited? Lebanon huh! Your far away from me! My friends husband is from there! Great guy.

You are going to do great! I hear they sedate you for it. I've never had one! I go back this Thursday the 3rd for my second monthly apt. Will meet with everyone again. Gotta get my bloodwork done asap so it's done and back for that apt!

I'm new to forum and am at the same place you are. I begin my 12 week nutrition classes on Dec 1.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
