perforce 243 Posted December 7, 2015 I emailed the people and was told that it would be best not to be, I asked them why and got no straight answer? They've told me to take those tablets that delay the start of your period to stop me being on it when surgery comes around.
Kaleigh Ryan 5 Posted December 8, 2015 I can't imagine why they would say that. ..
Cheeselife 68 Posted December 8, 2015 A friend of mine is an anesthesiologist, she said that 1 in 4 women coming in for surgery will have their period. It's normal. It depends how strong you're feeling, but I'd definitely challenge them to explain what problems your period would cause. perforce 243 Posted December 15, 2015 I sent them an email asking and they didn't elaborate, but it seems very strange? I've ordered the pills anyway, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to take them if I can't eat/drink anything before surgery?
rgallardo 30 Posted December 15, 2015 I had my period when I had my gallbladder removed.... Similar type of surgery.... They had me take my tampon out and just put pads under me they had no problems or concerns about me being on my period
ttdish 315 Posted December 15, 2015 Ugh!! Mine started 2 or 3 days early, I assume due to the stress. I checked in for my surgery, went to the bathroom, and there it was! The nurse told me that happens a lot. I just wore a pad, it wasn't a big deal at all. Bring baby wipes, in case you can't shower for a few days. I wasn't allowed to shower until my drainage tube was out. ~*~ Find me on YouTube: Trisha's Sleeve Story ~*~
