bethcasey 2 Posted November 23, 2015 I had sleeve surgery on the 10th. It is 13 days out. I lost 20 lbs in three weeks. Two week liver and 1 week clears post op. I have not lost more than 1 lb since post op appointment and moving to week 2 yogurt, pudding etc. Looking for tips or same stories. What am I doing wrong. Shouldn't it be a consistent 1lb a day loss for 3 months?
reree6898 1,164 Posted November 23, 2015 Weight Loss is never consistent. I have never heard the pound a day for three months theory before. Today marks 8 weeks out for me and I've lost 40 lbs. there will be stalls and times of rapid loss. Just sick to what your dr and nut have directed you to do and you will do fine. IncredibleShrinkingMan 437 Posted November 23, 2015 Two things are possible, and one of them was my story as well. First possibility: I lost about 20 lbs during pre-op as well (2 weeks), and that makes it more likely that a stall will occur right away after surgery. It will pick up again, I promise. Second possibility: you may have gotten a lot of Fluid in the hospital from the IV...this initial would cause weight gain that can take up to a week to completely get out of your system. So, you may have lost some fat already, but until you completely lose the excess Fluid weight, you will not see a net loss.

Stick with your program, and make sure you meet your Fluid & Protein goals. If the scale makes you crazy, put it away for a bit.
