Briardlady 73 Posted November 28, 2015 On the dizziness, too little salt can also contribute. If you think about it, we are eating so much less food, and especially at the beginning, it's not food we add salt to. I had orthostatic hypotension at the beginning, even with adequate fluids. I had to consciously add salt for several weeks.

JellyBellyNoMore 58 Posted November 30, 2015 Why are you staying away from carbs? Just curious... My doc says I need them. I stay away from carbs because it's the diet that my physician put me on.
JellyBellyNoMore 58 Posted November 30, 2015 Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I have my 6 week follow-up on Friday so I can bring up all my concerns. I still have only lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks. I could have done that without surgery. I can't wait to have my doctor weigh in.
bellabloom 2,467 Posted December 3, 2015 @VSGAnn, Maybe I needed to hear your thoughts, sometimes I just want the weight to fall off, and I have myself thinking if I dont eat and drink it will come off faster, very wrong Oh BTW my surgery was 10/29/15 - weight 245lbs today I weighed 219, yes I should be Thankful Sometimes it just helps to vent and hear others thoughts You have lost a lot of weight in just 4 weeks!! It does take some time. Just keep doing what your doing because it is happening!! 2 pounds a week is a realistic goal.
bellabloom 2,467 Posted December 3, 2015 You don't get bonus points for not eating. As a matter of fact, getting enough nutrition is critical for healing and weight loss. Not eating, restricting, and other disordered eating habits are counterproductive and dangerous. I agree. It's not a road you want to go down.
