JellyBellyNoMore 58 Posted November 23, 2015 I am so incredibly disappointed. I have not lost a single pound in 3 weeks. I get all my Protein and fluids in. And I just say NO to carbohydrates. BUT STILL NOTHING. I realize my BMI was lower than others so I am not expecting big numbers every week. But I eat so much better than before surgery, I should have some results! And a new side effect appeared this week, dizziness. I am dizzy all the time. I don't even think it's safe to drive anymore. What have I done to myself? dewythecat 4 Posted November 23, 2015 The three week stall I think is normal. Even if you aren't losing on the scale I bet you are still losing inches. I am almost 4 weeks out and have been extremely dizzy as well. Possibly maybe related to low blood pressure or low blood sugar? I wish this phase would pass. You're not alone! BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted November 23, 2015 Stalling is normal, especially at lower BMI's. Have you had labs recently? I would get the dizziness check out. For now put the scale away.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted November 23, 2015 Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. Almost everyone stalls for the first time at about three weeks post-op. goingtoskinny soon 9 Posted November 23, 2015 Weird, I'm almost 4 weeks out and having dizziness too! I'm going to see my PCP tommorrow, maybe I need a change in BP meds. Yep, I'm at a "stall" too, they suck!
ladycook9713 442 Posted November 23, 2015 I usually get dizzy when I'm not getting enough Water in. Hope you get it figured out!
slvarltx 332 Posted November 23, 2015 I got very dizzy at the same point. Had to immediately stop taking my BP medicine as my BP was too low. Went away after 2 days.
chilepeppr4 29 Posted November 23, 2015 Does everyone get dizzy or just people who are on blood pressure meds to begin with? I'm just starting out and reading about it, but it seems to be people who were on BP meds

BestDayEver 418 Posted November 23, 2015 I was on BP meds and was soon taken off the meds. I still get dizzy and I just stop, put my head down until it passes. It mostly happens when I stand up. The body is adjusting to the weight loss. I agree that staying away from the scale is a good idea if it makes you feel bad about yourself. You will see results in time. BigViffer 3,544 Posted November 23, 2015 After talking with my surgeon, the #1 cause of dizziness for those not taking BP medicine is not enough fluids. Then through my own research, I saw that extended periods of time with too few calories can cause dizziness as well. If you are able, increase both your Fluid and your calories with your surgeons permission and see how that helps.
nomoremeds 27 Posted November 23, 2015 I stalled for 3 weeks. I was expecting it so I stopped getting on the scale. At about 1 month and 1 week post op I checked the scale and I had lost 9 more pounds. The stall happens but the weight loss will continue after a while. My only fear is losing too much weight and looking sickly. I want to reach my goal weight and maintain. Don't really want to be skinny
goingtoskinny soon 9 Posted November 23, 2015 Went to my PCP and my BP was low causing the dizziness, she took 1 away, 4 weeks after surgery!! I'm a HAPPY girl
