jess9395 5,449 Posted November 25, 2015 I was planning on running our towns turkey trot and hitting the gym at least 3 days. But I attempted to ice skate this weekend and now I have whiplash and a bruised tailbone so now I'm down on my side for a few days. :( Ouch! Feel better!! I'm doing a 5k thanksgiving morning. It'll be my first, my goal is to just finish. I'll have lots of extra workout time since I'll be off Thursday- Tuesday...and you can't forget all the steps from black Friday shopping! Yay!!! Great goal for your first--you've got this!
Julie norton 2,850 Posted November 25, 2015 Gosh. I'm not trotting much on thanksgiving.... But I will work out on Friday with a trainer. I still don't foresee trotting in my immediate future...best of luck to those who do!????????????

Wallflower7522 328 Posted November 26, 2015 I'm still in pain but I didn't want to miss the turkey trot. It hurts the most when I'm sitting or laying so I'm going for it! Might not be running much, but I'm going to yo the best I can! Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted November 28, 2015 Thanks for all your replies! Wow, it sounds like there’s a lot of activity going on this weekend. jenn1, that’s a great idea to have those signs at your gym. They’re probably not a bad idea year-round for all kinds of foods! Sleevy Wonder – good for you for getting in your steps AND your football watching instead of just the football watching! That’s great we have so many 5k’ers and Turkey Trotters! I hope you all had successful outings! Just a reminder (for myself more than anyone else)…the weekend’s not over! There’s still time to hit the roads, gym, or basement and get in some activity and undo a little damage, or get a head start on the month to come!
