thbrown223 214 Posted November 19, 2015 Hello everyone I wanted to know what apps you're using for logging you're food? I haven't tried my fitness pal because I've read how it doesn't match with our low caloric intake. I've tried Baritastic and Peachtree Bariatrics ( even though I'm not a patient it's a great tool for any bariatric patient). I just not a huge fan because of their measuring for serving sizes or portions. Has anyone tried anything else?
Onelife 128 Posted November 19, 2015 I use livestrong.
miiasan 370 Posted November 19, 2015 I use fitbit - used it before surgery and just ignore what they say should be my daily calorie intake. I don't have a problem with cutting down the serving size at all and it is easy to add a food that is not on their list. I would caution though to check their nutrition info against the label of your food. Since you are able to input foods sometimes folks don't get it right. I like fitbit because it tracks Fluid and also tracks my activity (steps). I can input any other exercise that I do. It probably isn't the best out there but works for me
Dibaby44 63 Posted November 19, 2015 Loveeee myfitnesspal. I honestly dont think i would have been successful without it
Djmohr 6,965 Posted November 19, 2015 I love myfitnesspal and even though it doesn't take into consideration our low calorie count it tracks all my nutrients very effectively. I think I was very successful in part because of how I track everything I put in my mouth via myfitnesspal.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted November 19, 2015 I use MyFitnessPal and it meets my needs just fine. Yes, initially, when your calories are very low, if you "complete" your entry for the day you get a notice that your calories are too low. You can ignore that notice, or not complete the entry. It does NOT affect the functionality of the app. Edited because I left out an important word: NOT. Chanel's the whole meaning of the sentence.

mskami77 295 Posted November 21, 2015 Love My Fitness Pal! If you log into the website from a computer you can setup your own intake goals so it's works just fine for us. I'm 2 years postop and need to get back to logging regularly. It makes a huge difference.

RebeccaRN 27 Posted November 23, 2015 I have used Sparkpeople.com in the past - found that the variety of foods is better than any other app - they also have ways to track Water and fitness and it syncs with my fitbit for my steps.Haven't used it for awhile but now that surgery is a little over a month away, I decided I should start. Also, depending on your type of surgery, they have special forums.
