chilepeppr4 29 Posted November 17, 2015 Is it silly for me to be scared about being able to drink my Water like I am Use to?? I drink tons of water.. I can drink a 16oz in one shot and sometimes I don't even realize that I am doing it. I am afraid I'm going to miss my water.
KindaFamiliar 3,867 Posted November 17, 2015 You'll still have it... In fact, you'll need it more than ever!! But it's unlikely that you'll be able to down 16oz at a time... At nine months out, I usually go thru about 600 ml during my training session (1hr) each morning... So you'll certainly still be able to drink it... I hope that answers your query to some degree... Mistie 201 Posted November 17, 2015 Starting out, you'll have to slow down on the Water, as it may cause discomfort to drink so much at one time. However, the more you drink the better! It may just take a little time to build back up to previous levels once you are post op.
MickeyMax95 38 Posted November 18, 2015 I feel your pain...I miss gulping down a cold glass of water! However, you still need to get it in so always carry around a water bottle and sip Water throughout the day!
chilepeppr4 29 Posted November 20, 2015 My friend at work was sleeved in June.. She's not much of a Water drinker to begin with, but she does crunch ice all day.. Like alllll day... So I guess that's a good way of getting it in
TinyTink 268 Posted November 21, 2015 I'm so glad I'm having VSG in the winter. I can't imagine trying to keep up with Water requirements in the summer on top of surgery.
