I'm getting very nervous, though I know there's no real need! It's strange to be packing a hospital bag when the new baby I'll be bringing home is me!

@@slmullen I am simply tired of the liquid diet is all. I am ready for week three post op at that point under my surgeon I can have purred stuff and like can tuna and can chicken I am so over this non food stuff. So I feel your pain girl. We got this only a few more days to go. I feel it may be easier post op because we will have smaller stomachs and get full or at least this what I am telling myself lol

I couldn't do the liquid diet, I feel like such a failure. My surgeon said it wasn't super important for me, but would be good to get me into good habits. I've done Protein shakes twice a day, but have been hungry, and snacked ????

Well if my surgery gets cancelled because of A rash/bump on my neckline I don't think I can do another week of liquid only.

I got a message that my white blood cell count is up and the nurse is going to check with my surgeon to see if she will still do my surgery on Wednesday! I'm going to flip out!!!!

That's a worry, I'm so sorry!

I'm so worried that I've missed something or something will come up and my surgery will be cancelled.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
