samantha614 12 Posted November 17, 2015 Does insurance expect you to lose weight in your supervised 6 month diet? I know you can't gain weight, but what if you only lose a few pounds in those 6 months? Anyone been denied for this?
Babbs 14,681 Posted November 17, 2015 I had a 3 month diet, was trying to quit smoking, AND had a foot surgery, so I'd only lost 5 pounds. Insurance approved me within 48 hours I had Cigna.
L.Harmony 64 Posted November 17, 2015 My insurance required the 6 supervised diet. Originaly I did the requirement with my primary doctor and didn't lose any weight. Then I started working with a weight losss program. My best friends insurance only required her to meet with them for three months and she couldn't gain any weight. Nora82 11 Posted November 24, 2015 You have to just be at or below your initial weight. You don't have to lose but you can't gain.
