I'm 7 weeks post-op and my hair is really thin!

you can't really do anything to stop it, unfortunately, but if you keep hitting your Protein and Water goals, you will grow it back quickly once the fastest weight loss phase is over.

The only thing you can really do is take Biotin which will help with regrowth.

The hair will stop shedding when the weight stops shedding.

Stay on top of your Protein and Water because it will help as well.

Just keep doing what you are doing, like others said. I took Biotin and put Silica in every single thing I drank and my hair still fell out. I was terrified because for a solid six weeks, it was coming out by the handful. Every time I took a shower (often more than once a day) the drain was literally brown! Thankfully I had a lot of hair to begin with. I am about five months out and recently started using Nioxin Shampoo and conditioner and it has nearly stopped. I don't know if is the timing or the shampoo, but I'm beyond happy that it's slowed down. Hang in there!

@@Anxious2beme for most people it's the first 3-6 months after surgery. I'm losing fast now but I wasn't for the first two months.

@@Cervidae not that I want to hear you were slow in the first 2 months, I am glad to learn that I am not alone. Any tips or advice to give? Thank you so much for responding so quickly ????

The only things that seemed to make a difference are Water (I drink 75-80 ounces a day) and sleeping more. Since I started doing both of those things more, I noticed a marked increase in my weight loss. When I sleep for 9 hours, I almost always wake up at least a pound lighter. Other than that, just remember that our bodies are super complex and weird, and sometimes, for no reason, they do the opposite of what they are expected to do. I worried I would only be losing like 5 pounds a month and then it picked up. Maybe tomorrow I will go back to losing at a snail's pace. It's frustrating to deal with, but 1 or 2 years from now you won't even recognize yourself or your life, and it won't matter how fast or slow you lost. Stay positive and stick to the plan. :)
