My preop testing was tons of blood work at initial appointment with the surgeon, EKG, chest x-ray, and endoscopy. I will have more blood work right before the surgery as well. That was it!

Oh and the psych eval!

2 weeks prior to surgery, at the hospital, I had an EKG, Chest xray and blood work.

A bunch of electrolyte-specific tests on top of the full panels, a sleep study consult (no study ultimately required) and various other things by the pulmonologist, a barium swallow (the most awkward one of all), a chest x-ray, and the psych eval.

I just had to get a blood test.

The other surgeon in my area asks for a psych appointment so I skipped him, haha.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
