StacyTracy 16 Posted November 21, 2015 Lapband to RNY on 11/18/15. Doing well after surgery. Banded in 2007 one year of success, then a re-gain of all 85 pounds lost. Hopefully the RNY will do the trick! Good luck!

StacyTracy 16 Posted November 22, 2015 Doing well. On full liquid diet for two weeks then onto pureed. For some reason much less pain than after I had lapband in. Can get around pretty well and no pain meds since Thursday night.

Pinkgirl1234 761 Posted November 22, 2015 I am having surgery on Dec 28 a Monday...I was hoping that I only would need a full week...finances won't permit weeks out...I was going to ask the same question...
Pinkgirl1234 761 Posted November 22, 2015 My port pain is happening as we speak...my port flipped so I am currently uncomfortable....
StacyTracy 16 Posted November 22, 2015 I have been using Unjury Protein Powder. chocolate is good. After surgery the unflavored is a must to add to your Soups and puddings. No port pain at all. The only thing I have is like it feels like a golf ball in my stomach when I drink Water but assume that's normal. I have heard that elsewhere. I took 2 weeks off but I get paid leave so blessed there. You need at least a week but 2 is better.

terrym123 15 Posted November 23, 2015 Good luck with your conversion. I had my band removed and the gastric bypass surgery on 10/19/15 (32 days ago?) I am down at least 20 pounds I have not weighed myself this week. So far so good ... My surgery was laparoscopic. I had 2 band surgeries prior. So I have 7 sort of stab wounds. I had zero pain except for a little gas in my jaw. I was up and walking immediately after surgery and only needed one night in the hospital. They gave me a scrip for Oxy but I only needed one Tylenol for the 90 minute car ride home. The incisions were a 1 on the pain scale. Lower belly ache about a 2.5. Best of all I can swallow pills with Water and have no blockage! No burping or spitting no heartburn or reflux. I am never hungry and prefer svelte chocolate shakes.< /p> I am now eating fruits and cooked veggies which the band did not allow. Best wishes, Terry
