Does anyone have trouble wearing their bra?! I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and I can barely make it 2 hours before I have to take it off because it makes me feel nauseous. Hoping I'm not the only one. . .

@@Daisee68, can you provide a name or link to the place that accepts donations? I think that's a fine idea! I have some very newish bras I know I won't be able to wear for long after surgery.

I've promised to treat myself to at least one Stella McCartney bra when I hit goal. Her stuff always looks so fun. Hopefully I'll be able to wear them.

@@songsmith - Here is the one I used http://www.donateyourbra.com/index.html. I just liked their concept. I know there are some others though. Some Soma stores take them as well.

I went from a 44DD to a 34B! No more back pain! Hard to find 34B but I'm thrilled!!!

I bought my first new bra after losing 40 lbs and went down 1 band size but same cup. I'm now a 34H, mind you, I did have breast augmentation several years ago, so I know my cup size won't change a whole lot but thought it would be more different.

I must also admit, I probably should have increased my bra size when I gained weight after augmentation but being a 36H was embarrassing enough!

By the way, it was never my goal to be. In such a large cup size and once I'm at my final goal, I will be downsizing. Much to my husbands disappointment!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
