titan05 174 Posted November 15, 2015 He told me first post op appointment that it would go away . It doesn't hurt or bother me but as I lose weight it is not real attractive. This picture is little close and makes it look a little bigger than what it is. I am concerned that this doesn't seem to be a normal complication. Weird since I am having great success. ssflbelle 829 Posted November 15, 2015 Is it possible that you have a hernia? I have an umbilical hernia and it is above my belly button and looks like your lump. My Dr told me he would not remove mine during the sleeve surgery as they tend to grow back during weight loss surgery. I would get a second opinion.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted November 15, 2015 You can have your doctor check it out, and you should just to make sure things are as they should, but that may just be your body. I attended the support group at my hospital today. They had a plastic surgeon as one of the guest speakers talking about skin removal surgeries. One of the before pictures he showed looked quite similar to that. It was just how the body settled.
SuperDave 1,115 Posted November 15, 2015 That looks exactly like an umbilical hernia I had. I would be very surprised if it was something else. On the bright side, losing weight makes a hernia repair easier to do and less likely to fail over time.
titan05 174 Posted November 15, 2015 Sad thing is that this has been like this since surgery. It didn't develop over time .

Fatty McFatster 888 Posted November 18, 2015 I'm glad it doesn't hurt or bother you, but I would still go get that checked out.
