emilyphoenix74 49 Posted November 13, 2015 Im 3.5 months post op. 62 lbs shed. The past 2 weeks ive been experiencing severe heartburn. No matter what or when i eat. Daisee68 2,493 Posted November 13, 2015 Yes unfortunately very normal. You should be taking an antacid (likely a PPI that your doctor prescribed). If you don't have a prescription, call your doctor for it and take Zanctac or Pepcid in the meantime. My understanding is that you take this med for at least 3 to 6 months post-op. thinner-me 160 Posted November 28, 2015 I am having this problem!! I am 7 weeks out and no matter what I have severe heartburn all day long. And it makes it hard to sleep at night when your throat is on fire! I have been taking OTC meds for it. My doc said to take one dailyntomorrvent stomach ulcers.
