Why is she saying not to? Maybe have her read all the information as well. I'd imagine she is worried she will loose you. But your doing this so you can live longer, be healthy and happy!! You've got this you aren't being selfish!!!

So, as the anesthesiologist was leaving and they were ready to take me to the OR, the surgeon came in and cancelled my surgery. He wasn't comfortable with my newly developed cough/cold. I know he felt badly about it (as tears rolled down my cheeks) and he promised he would get me back in by month's end. His PA just called to tell me he opened 12/28 to do my VSG. Thanksgiving AND Christmas on the liquid pre-op diet - ugh. But as he told me, I'll have many more Thanksgivings and Christmases to enjoy in good health. I know God is in control so I'm okay.

I'm keeping it simple--I bought shakes from costco (premier Brand), I also ordered some chicken broth from Unjury. Other than that, I got Torani brand sugar free Syrup in strawberry, peach, and raspberry.

I love the chocolate Splendor from Unjury! The Chicken Soup flavor is good too. I like the Premier Shakes too but I like the Unjury better.

I'll have to try the Torani. Thanks for the info.

I should have my answer on my pre auth tomorrow, and start my liquid diet on Thursday !!!!!! Fingers crossed it all goes through !! Dec 17th is sooo close!!

My surgery date is December 2, 2015! I have to be on a 2 week high Protein, low carb diet for 2 weeks which begins on next week Tuesday...I'm excited!

I'm 12/2 as well, moved up from 1/21. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda freaking out right now - it's less than 3 wks away and I just found out two days ago! I thought I had all this time to mentally prepare, and now it's right in front of me and I feel panicky and haven't slept since I found out. Trying to take deep breaths and just pray that the day comes and goes without a hitch.
