cowboy82 15 Posted November 12, 2015 i am having major problems with Water retention in the 2 days that i rest from working out i gain just north of 9-10lbs from friday to monday and there is no difference in my diet other than i dont ingest as much Protein as i do during the week when i do work out. the weight does come off about wednesday or thursday and then some but i know i am losing percentage wise it just gets difficult to see all the hard work "vanish" on monday when i weigh in. i have cut back on my water drinking to be is the ballpark of 64-74 oz of water i think i was doing 96-132 oz a day. i do not go back to the my dr. for another 3 weeks is there anyone else who has experienced this same problem or is in the same boat as me
RILEYSMOM22 344 Posted November 13, 2015 Do you track your sodium intake? I am super sodium sensitive. I get cankles and puffy fingers with even small amounts of salt and my scale does the same fluctuation.
lorri716 256 Posted November 13, 2015 I am having the puffy fingers issue ask I type. I too am very sensitive with salt. I must've had more than normal yesterday or maybe my arthritis is in a flare up. The best thing to do is keep hydrated. It flushes out the sodium.
cowboy82 15 Posted November 13, 2015 i havent tracked my sodium intake as of yet just because i dont feel bloated or Water logged i just see it on the scale but since i have just started to decrease my Water intake i havent seen results yet but i will check it out on monday when the gain seems to happen
RILEYSMOM22 344 Posted November 13, 2015 It might also be a result of inflammation caused by your workout... muscle fibers tearing and rebuilding, etc. I think this is a fairly common result of exercising, especially in the beginning.
cowboy82 15 Posted November 13, 2015 i have been exercising regularly for the past 7 months and it only started recently doing it i dont go too heavy or too light on my weights i go where i feel the "burn"and i can do high reps so i can burn fat and gain muscle which has worked for me i have seen gains in the size of my muscles from my arms to my legs
