The pulmonologist called today and informed me that my insurance won't cover a sleep study at an office because there's no reason I can't have it at home. This doesn't bother me at all, as long as they cover it some how. I'm just curious how this works? I've had a sleep study done at an office before but never at home. Does someone stay at your house all night and monitor everything, or do they just come and set it up? Do they have to go to your bedroom to set stuff up, or just attach the leads to your body? Thanks!

I had one last week and they dropped it off at 7pm and picked it around 7am would have come earlier but I didn't have to work. They even caked me with my results and report after 3 days.

My mom had her done by a different doctor. She picked hers up and then dropped it off the next day.

It is very easy they show you and give you written instructions. I had a pulse oxygen reading on right hand finger. Nasal sensor (looks like I was getting oxygen) and a band with a monitor around my chest.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
