Holy. Crap. (nsv)

Recommended Posts

So, with getting married and changing my last name, I got a new drivers license. My old drivers license had the original picture on it from when I was 17 (which is years before my highest weight).

Holy. Crap.

I'm honestly as disgusted by this as I am excited by it.

I just saw another post that was about Drivers license and she said it was the first time she actually weighed less than what was on her drivers license, and I realized oh man me too alot less and the picture on my license looks like it could be my Mom, my birthday is next month and (I have to get a new one) I could keep my picture but no way, I have worked hard to get it I am gonna smile for the camera!! Congrats on your NSV, the difference is amazing!

Sarah, you look really pretty in that picture. I had my license renewed back in Feb and I took a new picture as well. I believe it might have been me that said I was finally lighter than my license weight. When I renewed I listed my goal on the new ID. Something to shoot for? ~Mandy

Sarah,

I renewed my license on Monday and my old license picture was taken at my highest weight. I was actually thrilled with my new picture. It is the only good picture I have ever taken and I have 3 less chins in it!!

Now I don't mind showing my license at all. Keep up the good work.

Did anyone ever hear this...my boss was saying that a paramedic once told her you should put your REAL weight on your drivers license, in the event of a accident and they have to give you meds based on your weight, they would go by the weight on your DL....makes sense in a way, but I am gonna DIE!!! LOL

hehe, thanks everyone! I know I was lying on the first license, and it was renewed 4 years later with the same info, so by then it was WAY wrong. now mine is accurate, but it wont be by the time I have to renew it again :)

My sisters found an old picture of me (one I actually use as my before picture) and they both say they can't believe I was every that big. I showed them my two licenses today (I have them both to use for changing my last name on all my stuff), and they were both shocked. hehe

We don't have our actual weight on the license here in TN but you have to put it down when you fill out your papers ,this time the lady that has to put it in the computer (while I stand right in front her) won't say " yeah right" when she types it in! , lol

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
