Why are these Multivitamins making me feel sick to my stomach every time I take one? I have to take 3 of them daily and it makes me dry vomit. I've heard it's your body telling you you are having to much of Vitamins in your body...has anyone dealt with this?

I take them with food...but still makes me feel nauseated!

Please help :/

Mine make me feel the same way every time I take them. I can't wait until 6 weeks when I can swallow pills again!!

Iron in the Multivitamin is a common cause of nausea. The one and only time I vomited since surgery was after trying a new multivitamin. 30 seconds and I ran to the bathroom. Terrible.

I have continued to take chewables (I don't chew them, I just let them melt in my mouth).

At 3 months I decided to try tablets and threw up each time I tried.

Never again!!

I too still take chewables T 5 months out. Are you taking them with meals? That will sometimes help the stomach upset or you may try changing brands.

I was having the same problem but I started taking them in the middle of my Protein Shake. That seems to help me. I have read you can buy liquid multivitamins too if needed. Hope it gets better.

I couldn't stand the taste of the chewables as a post op, especially the multi. At three and a half months I've been taking regular pills for about four weeks now, and have luckily had no issues.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
